Hands Kiosk establishes a friendly cooperation relationship with Beijing Dance Theatre recently. This Partnership offers our event clients more options when they think about performances for their events. It is not only a choice of stage performance for corporate events, but also to organise a cultural and artistic activity, says "Invitational Dance Performance" or "Appreciation of the Art of Dance" at theatre which brings a different experience for your event guests after one day conference.
Founded in 2008 and led by artistic director/choreographer Wang Yuanyuan, the Beijing Dance Theater (BDT) has graced China’s dance stage with quality productions. Collaborating with renowned directors, composers, and visual artists, the BDT continues to showcase contemporary Chinese stage art to the world in style.
With amazing creativity and productive momentum, the BDT has built a repertoire of 15 different works, which represent the creative team’s critical reflections on various facets of contemporary society. Haze, a contemplation in a time of crisis, has been toured in world-class venues including the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London, Perth International Arts Festival, and received invitation from Sydney Opera House. Commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the BDT opened Golden Lotus to critical acclaim at home and abroad. It was followed by the premier of Wild Grass in the next year, a new work soon invited to Europe premier in Germany and brings BDT back to BAM's Next Wave Festival and Kennedy Center in the same year, followed by a U.S. tour and a South America tour in the year after. BDT’s contemporary dance creation The Nightingale and the Rose world premiered in Shanghai International Arts Festival, toured in Austria, Estonia, and Latvia, and Poison commissioned by and world premiered at Festspielhaus St. Pölten in Austria. Prism won the Best Modern Dance Ensemble, awarded by LUNAS, the Mexican National Concert Hall.
Over a course of 10 years, the BDT has toured 15 repertoires to almost all provincial major cities in Mainland China, and to over 60 cities in more than 30 countries including Germany for 4 times, twice in the U.S., and Iceland, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Serbia, Italy, the Netherlands, Mexico, Columbia, Ecuador, etc.
